We're also looking at upgrades, but have for the moment planned to add a node so looking instead at setting this up on the latest, then testing restoring some of the VM's from our S3 backup. Once we're confident all our backups are good we were going to try the upgrade and if that worked then we can reset the new node and add it into the cluster. Did you follow their guide and shutdown all your VM's first?
b
Yes that seems to be a the best solution, but not a great one. Yes we have shutdown all vms, deleted all sriov and pcie devices, and on and on and on...

Stupid question if a upgrade is in pending state, does a reboot of the Harvester node help
?
b
Does not seem to

I've been running Harvester since 0.3.0 and I don't recall ever seeing an option to upgrade by booting from via ISO (other than a reinstall). If you're having problems I'd suggest logging an issue at https://github.com/harvester/harvester/issues giving as much detail (inc. support bundle) as possible. The Harvester team are good and will help
b
Upgrade via ISO would save a lot of problems for a lot of people.
