Does it not appear in the
local
cluster
Cluster Tools
(button bottom of the side nav when visiting the
local
cluster)?
b
did you make any update recently? Trivial mandatory question: did you check filters?
Or
Cluster Tools
yeah 😄
d
I have checked cluster tools. Only thing that shows is elemental, istio, longhorn, nevuvector and opa gatekeeper
Provisioned with Linode if that makes a difference. I have also been running this cluster for a while now. About 2 years, not sure if that makes a difference so long as I upgrade
s
How have your upgrades been, are is Rancher a supported version (https://www.suse.com/lifecycle/#suse-rancher-prime), and kube inline with supported versions (https://www.suse.com/suse-rancher/support-matrix/all-supported-versions/rancher-v2-8-5/)? Depending on a few factors, there's a change the charts are won't show because they're not valid for your setup. If you fancy diving into this check the network requests the browser makes, in particular one that looks like
/k8s/clusters/c-m-zm26jq4t/v1/catalog.cattle.io.clusterrepos/rancher-charts?link=index
. That will contain the charts the UI should show. Find one that isn't in the UI and look at the versions and their annotations. You'll see the restrictions the chart places which will block them from appearing in the UI
d
From what I remember they haven't been too mesy
{ "name": "rancher-backup-crd", "version": "103.0.2+up4.0.2", "description": "Installs the CRDs for rancher-backup.", "apiVersion": "v2", "appVersion": "4.0.2", "annotations": { "catalog.cattle.io/certified": "rancher", "catalog.cattle.io/hidden": "true", "catalog.cattle.io/namespace": "cattle-resources-system", "catalog.cattle.io/release-name": "rancher-backup-crd" }
But you are right it is set to hidden
No clue why it is set to hidden tho
s
Ah, crd's are ok hidden. The UI will install them alongside the main charts
d
ahh ok
besides the crd I cannot find any other instance of rancher-backup
