what’s your setup look like? (disk type + size, bare metal type/size, network card(s), etc.)

was the network configured correctly?
the installer will extract the rke2 packages.. and it can get stuck if the network config is missing a default route. I'd check that if it happens again

That is not the issue, tried installing with dhcp and static, both times had a good default route. I think this is dns resolution issue most likely.

we are investigating what could be causing this as it seems a bit flakey
do your nodes have access to dockerhub?
are you by any chance please able to get us the rke2.log?

hello everyone, i have exactly the same problem that @brainy-whale-97450 the install process is stucked, but i can connect to the node with rancher user. i could extract the rke2.log.

We are wanting to use Harvester on HPE DL20 gen9/10 servers.
That's what I am installing on. If I choose to use separate drives for install and vm it always hangs at extracting run.sh.

output? Wondering if the ISO redirection feature causes some I/O problems.

on an ilo you have two options no mount an iso, from you local pc or from an web server. Would really recommend the web server.
And in particular for the DL20 do you have an dedicated ilo network port or is shared with the data port ? Perhaps this will make some trouble if shared?

On the DL20 we tried installing using the second port to rule that out, did not work still. Only usb install worked.
