So, I'm running rancher 1.5.0 (it isn't offering an update to 1.5.1 atm) and i'm seeing problems w/ running amd64 images on arm64 (m1) where the first argument to a program is mostly ignored (seems to be treated as the program name). @proud-jewelry-46860, is this https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/commit/5f13d904ad23edc0641ef10baa2eae562ddd2aa3 ?
Anyway, upgrading fixed my problems, so I'm guessing this is the right thing...

Yes, this is one of the problems fixed in 1.5.1

I really wish: 1. when opening rancher it'd tell me about important known issues for my version 2. i'd get the update available notifications sooner
3. that i could more easily find errors like this when searching issues (even though i was fairly confident this was the problem in 1.5.0, and guessed it was the fix, it wasn't easy, and I had to browse through the full changelog to identify it)

#1 is interesting; I don't think I can help you on #2;

I'd take something for any of the above 🙂
happy to file an issue if it'd help.

Sure -- sometimes the issues might seem forgotten, but we're aware of them, and have weekly triage meetings to surface the ones we consider most important. We also dream wistfully of a cycle when we can just deal with existing issues (i.e. "fix bugs") and not work on new features

Yeah, I know. I have my own product w/ its own imaginary backlog and it's own public backlog. But anything that isn't publicly known leaves everyone else in the dark, so I'm trying to be better about publicizing for my own projects and encouraging the same for everyone else.
And obviously, most projects have more things to do than time to do them 🙂
