@great-bear-19718 If you have time please take a look, the GitHub issue is https://github.com/harvester/harvester/issues/6050
g
based on the issue vGPU is seen the guest
are you able to confirm if the vgpu driver was installed in the guest
a
@great-bear-19718 yes I have tried version 550 and 535 on the host and guest
g
i cannot say anything else yet.. obviously the device is being passed through to the guest
and if the guest driver has been installed then it should have worked
can you please generate a support bundle?
a
Sure thing, I'm not at my pc at the moment but I will generate one for you as soon as I have access again. Thanks for picking this up
g
sure
a
Just to clarify on the drivers in the guest I installed the guest variant of the nvidia vgpu driver
g
yeah that is the one to install
a
Also, just in case it's relevant. Initially the card was detected as an SR-IOC device. We ended up using the nvidia display mode tool to change the mode before it was detected.
g
when you generate a support bundle if your VM is not in the default namespace please make sure to update the setting to include the additional namespaces
a
OK will do
g
i saw the support bundle.. there seems to be no issue in the actual vgpu creation or passthrough it seems..
a
Yes it seems to be detected by the guest vms but not initialised by the guest os
