Hi @gifted-plastic-62559. Not a 100% sure about this, but I believe the user needs to login at least once in order for you, as admin, be able to see them on the auth -> users list in Rancher manager/dashboard 🤔

I am completely unfamliar with google login 😭

Got it @busy-ability-54059. Can we also manage the cluster level resources permission from global permission. like deployments view only from global permissions.
or can we do, whenever new user creates, cluster role is used by default.
b
At least for global roles (like admin) there’s an option
New User Default
, where you can set a particular role as a default for new users. check also the other Role Templates (under
Users & Authentication
) to see what else you can do 🙏

When Rancher is connected to an external auth provider not all users of that provider will be shown in the Users and Authentication / Users list. Users can still be assigned permissions either • when they log in they will inherit roles that are tagged with 'new user default' • When managing members either in the Cluster Manager --> Create/Edit Cluster or Cluster --> Cluster and Project Members contexts
To stop new users managing clusters your might want to remove new user detail from the standard user and enable is for the user base. Note though - standard users have roles that are required to manage memberships. For example a project owner who is user-base would not see role types
