06/06/2024, 3:57 PMjust answered my own question. depending on their rancher version (lets say they are at the latest v2.8.4) it only supports up to RKE2 v1.28.9. So the answer is, you shouldn't and really can't https://github.com/rancher/rancher/releases/tag/v2.8.4
