Yep... I have deployed monitoring without grafana then expose prometheus endpoint which is added as data source in my enterprise grafana instance The graphs provided in the UI can be exported and imported

how did you point rancher at your graphana instance so rancher still shows the graphs?

if you want to view graphs within rancher then install grafana (with monitoring app)... With this you can still expose your prometheus endpoint that you can add to grafana enterprise as datasource
