It'll be supported for whatever version gets the
stable
release afaik
w
Thanks, guess I'll find out what's supported once I've upgraded to 1.2.2!
s
We will support the upgrade from v1.2.2 to v1.3.1. The v1.3.1 should be released in mid-June.
s
It looks like the upgrade support matrix needs updating here: https://docs.harvesterhci.io/v1.2/upgrade/index/
e
@salmon-city-57654 can you clarify if only 1.2.2 to 1.3.1 will be supported? Not 1.2.2 to 1.3.0? As Mark mentioned the upgrade matrix is not updated. The 1.3.0 release notes still state Harvester will eventually support upgrading from v1.2.2 to v1.3.0. Once that version is released, you must first upgrade a Harvester cluster to v1.2.2 before upgrading to v1.3.0. However the 1.2.2 release notes mention 1.2.2 to 1.3.1 will be supported. Is this an alternative upgrade path(to skip 1.3.0), or meant to be the only supported upgrade path? Making the 1.3.0 release notes incorrect?
s
TL;DR, 1.2.2 -> 1.3.1 1.3.0 -> 1.3.1 DO NOT recommend upgrading from v1.2.2 to v1.3.0 There are potential issues if we upgrade from v1.2.2 to 1.3.0. So, we will eventually support upgrading from v1.2.2 to v1.3.1 If you are using v1.3.0, you could upgrade to v1.3.1 for sure. And, yes, we should update the v1.3.0 release note.
Harvester will eventually support upgrading from v1.2.2 to v1.3.0.
This is incorrect info. cc @prehistoric-balloon-31801, we need to update the v1.3.0 release note.

Dang I was waiting for 1.2.2 to then be able to get to 1.3.0. Do we have an estimated timeframe for 1.3.1?
p
Hi Simon, the target date is June 11.
@witty-jelly-95845 apologize for the wait. 1.3.0 has an issue which can cause migration fails, so we have to change the upgrade path to 1.2.2->1.3.1
w
it happens, just disappointing waiting 2 months after 1.3.0 released to get 1.2.2 thinking would then be able to go to 1.3.0 only to find have to wait another month for 1.3.1
