The file has not changed, its just 2.7 that brings a more feature complete file editor. dot are spaces, you can see line returns, but the file itself has not changed

File not changed the format got changed . And our dev team raised a concern while modifying they are facing difficulties. Is there a way to preserve the old setting ?

What do you mean the format got changed? It's still a yaml, and as long as your indentation is consistent, there shouldnt be any problem. What difficulties is your devteam facing?

There is a space between each line . while modifying and saving the changes to the configmap its erroring out ..

Its just visual, its not there, same for the "enter" characters you see at the end of each line
