each RKE2 release version comes with respective canal version too, you can see those listed in https://github.com/rancher/rke2/releases/tag/v1.29.2%2Brke2r1 in my understanding if we need to update canal.. I would update respective RKE2 along with it. ----- I am not sure is it recommended to just update canal alone.
