Why manual route? Also, is your VM using DHCP or are you configuring it with a static IP with network-config
b
I tried both Manual and Auto.. But the VM didn't get any IP.
r
Do you have an external DHCP server running on the same VLAN outside of the Harvester cluster?
b
yes
r
Do you remember choosing Auto for the Route, the VM network shows active or not?
b
yes selected auto and it went to active
r
Hmm, that’s interesting. In the Auto mode, Harvester will spin up a DHCP client to extract the routing information. If you can get an Active state under that circumstance, it means the DHCP server is doing its job.
Have you ever tried to manually configure the IP/route for the VM and see if it can ping outside without issue?
b
I tried to provide the same range in manual route option but no IP was assigned to the VM
