it depends on what you expect to recover from a disaster. Yes etcd is important piece to backup, but that will only help you recover the cluster you need something else to backup application data from PVCs and secrets etc. I am not familiar with velero but assuming it does that

https://docs.rke2.io/backup_restore I’m little bit confused, what exactly is recovered on disaster ? So if secrets or config maps are not part of etcd backup i will not be able to restore or migrate my application stack from one cluster to another in case of my previous cluster failed
