I just did a fresh install of rancher, kind and kubectl

Did you manually install kubectl separately? Rancher Desktop comes bundled with kubectl (and other utilities such as helm, docker CLI, nerdctl CLI etc). If you again installed kubectl there are chance that installation may have done something that Rancher Desktop doesn't expect. Can you try below steps and see if it works: • perform Factory Reset via the command

rdctl factor-reset

or via the GUI

Troubleshooting > Factory Reset

• uninstall kubectl that you may have installed • uninstall and re-install the latest version of Rancher Desktop
