Did you deploy rancher to an existing k3s cluster, or are you just running it directly in docker via the rancher/rancher image? If it's the latter, that is only meant for dev/poc use and isn't intended to run for more than a short period of time. the version of k3s that is embedded in it is somewhat stripped down, and most of the things that the k3s and rancher docs mention doing will not work.

Well, that would be the stupid piece. I guess I will have to stand up another cluster and migrate it, I think I read a doc on it somewhere
