On prem F5 load balancers and integrating them into kubernetes clusters
c
they have a loadbalancer controller I believe
a
Been looking into it but wondering if anyone has been using it
Vs their docs and Mark Dittmer on YouTube

Wondering this exact same thing, tonight. The CIS instructions on F5 are a Little dated, so it’s got a lot of vxlan talk in it. Dittmer’s last video is a little older now, but shows the CIS deployment portion but not the ingress configuration parts. Did you find a good details/solutions? @adorable-train-88202

nope 😞
They (F5) seem to be "in bed" with OpenShift; it's very heavy on the RedHat rhetoric

Not disagreeing with you, but I think it just might seem like it. I think its proabably just a coincidence. OpenShift is huge in markets where F5 is too, like Fed Gov. Plus, the config is fairly different for anything OpenShift in life. To my untrained eye, it just looks like OpenShift and Everyone Else. 🙂 If you want to compare/contrast, I love Rancher, but Antrea + F5 CIS is way better than the "general kubernetes support." We did a test with Tanzu this way, and it was wild how much more efficient/easy NodePortLocal + CIS is.
