Why does it default the branch to release vs dev?
(i know you may not know because you're not rancher but rke2 😄)

generally they get syncd from dev to release in preparation for a release of the corresponding Rancher minor version

I would be planning to move to 2.8 sooner rather than later if you want new charts.

should i use the dev-2.7.x branch to update? Do i have to do 1 version at a time here? Do for rancher, do i have to upgrade 1 version at a time?

ahh and upgrading rancher only updates the helm repos in the rancher instance. Not downstream clusters

heh just need to make that editor a bit lighter as it chokes hard on 1000 lines
