I was able to install Rancher-Desktop in Fedora 35, but currently cannot install it in Fedora 36 (beta). I am using the AppImage latest version (rancher-desktop-1.2.1-Build4.1.glibc2.27-x86_64.AppImage). Here is the error message, which was noted in a github issue:
