Hi folks, how are you running k3os on KVM?
I've finally found some time to test k3os again. My previous experience was with v0.2.1.
Yesterday, I've tried the amd64-ISO v0.7.1 and got a hanging KVM console (just after kernel switched the screen resolution).
OK, so I've tried ISOs for v0.7.0, v0.6.0 and v0.5.0 --> same result: console gets garbled and hangs 😪
Finally I've tried the amd64-ISOs for v0.4.0, v0.3.0 (and v0.2.1) --> Everything is OK: k3os boots to the login prompt. I can login as user rancher and start installing with "os-config".
So what happened between v0.4.0 and v0.5.0? I guess it has got something to do with the upgrades of the Linux kernel from 4.15.0-62 to 4.15.0-66 and 4.15.0-70.
I'm running KVM/Qemu on openSUSE Leap 15.1 with all the latest OS and KVM patches. These boot problems happen in exactly the same way on 2 different installations: one on my local desktop, the other on a remote server (with 'spice' used for the grafix).
HELP, is there a way to boot the k3os ISO for installing to the local disk without having to use the KVM console? As the activity graphs are updating, k3os seems to be running properly; but I cannot login via ssh unless it gets installed to disk with my 'config.yaml'.
Please have a look at the enclosed pics of the corresponding screen dumps.
