as long as you read and follow support matrix and review upgrade doc you will be fine (from past experience)

yeah, but i ran in to some bugs on my second upgrade (upgrading from 2.6.6 to 2.7.6) and they're not something we've been able to solve or get support for here.
unfortunately, one of my downstream clusters is still using ceph-deployed-via-rook which means migrating to a new rancher will probably involve setting up an external ceph, mirroring, and then setting up CSI to make the use thereof transparent to the devs on this project.
on the current rancher install which is trying to upgrade its local cluster i see this:
2023/11/12 15:28:51 [ERROR] error syncing 'rancher-rke2-charts': handler helm-clusterrepo-ensure: git -C /var/lib/rancher-data/local-catalogs/v2/rancher-rke2-charts/675f1b63a

which i can't seem to fix.
but also issues with user impersonation tokens under some circumstances (we can mitigate that issue though)
