There's no need for a separate storage server. Harvester can install its OS and schedule Longhorn volumes all on the same storage device, however it is good practice to use storage devices separate from the boot drive for Longhorn volumes.

Thank you for your replay.. I have few more doubt like.. 1.How the Longhorn volumes mount to each compute servers? is it attached to containers/VMs remotely like NFS/iscsi? and If i wanted to migrate a vm to another node, how harvester migrate the local storage of that vm. 2. Will it support integration with external SSO solutions for authentication and authorisation? 3. Does harvester support DNS integration to provide domain names to VMs/Kubes so that user can access the VM/Kubes with the domain names?
