i know anything with *.docker.io is basically to fetch the images but if you can tell me what other urls its pointing to and specially why its trying to reach "usage.projectcalico.org"

usageReportingEnabled Reports anonymous Calico version number and cluster size to projectcalico.org. Logs warnings returned by the usage server. For example, if a significant security vulnerability has been discovered in the version of Calico being used.
