1. the rke2 installer used by rancher-system-agent is distributed via docker image 2. yes, by configuring registry mirrors when provisioning the cluster in Rancher
I’m assuming you’re talking about rancher-system-agent as there is no rke2-system-agent
s
Yes rancher-system-agent . Can you please guide me on this on how we can do this ? it has become a critical piece for my environment.

Look at the registry configuration section of the UI when provisioning the cluster, it should be pretty self-explanatory
s
okay i am gonna take a look at that thanks 🙂
One more question @creamy-pencil-82913 i am seeing these communication that are outbound from my cluster i know anything with *.docker.io is basically to fetch the images but if you can tell me what other urls its pointing to and specially why its trying to reach "usage.projectcalico.org"
c
I would defer to the Calico docs if you’re using Calico… see https://docs.tigera.io/calico/latest/reference/resources/felixconfig#spec
usageReportingEnabled Reports anonymous Calico version number and cluster size to projectcalico.org. Logs warnings returned by the usage server. For example, if a significant security vulnerability has been discovered in the version of Calico being used.

Got it , Thanks 🙂
