hi! what version of rancher desktop are you using? If you go to Preferences > Application > Environment PATH configuration is set to Automatic or manual? Try switching to manual then to automatic (even if it's already in automatic) and refresh the diagnostics tab.
I believe 
kubectl config use-context rancher-desktop
should set the context to rancher desktop, but before you do that, could you send here the logs?
