Rancher version v2.5.17
Why are you using an almost year-old verison of rancher from an end-of-life branch? You should be using 2.6 or 2.7
g
When I wanted to deploy with --version 2.7.9, I had to use older versions because this error appeared. Error: INSTALLATION FAILED: chart requires kubeVersion: < 1.27.0-0 which is incompatible with Kubernetes v1.27.3 @creamy-pencil-82913

Are you still using Kubernetes 1.27.3? 2.5 isn’t going to work on that version of Kubernetes either…
g
I can't use version 1.27.3.
c
As was suggested above, you need to check the support matrix and use a version of Kubernetes that is compatible with the release of Rancher you’re using. Going back and using old versions that don’t check, but instead fail in less predictable ways, is not the correct way to solve your problem.
g
how should I proceed
c
look at the link posted above. Pick a recent release of Rancher. Install a version of Kubernetes supported by that release, and deploy Rancher to it.
