What OS are you using to run Rancher Desktop? If you are running on Windows, you'll need to got to 'Preferences/WSL/Integrations' and enable integration for your WSL distro.

Mac OS X

It is the default, but double check Container Engine > General to make sure you're using 'docker(moby)'. If so, try restarting Rancher Desktop. It SHOULD be using the link at ~/.rd/docker.sock. If restarting doesn't work, check ~/.docker/config.json and verify the "currentContext" is "rancher-desktop".
