On the local cluster, check the fleet-controller and the jobs which correspond to your Gitrepo. I've found the CD GUI doesn't show enough detail when certain things are wrong. This is a good reason to rollout monitoring and logging to your local cluster, alerting on things like jobs failing and specific log entries.
