To confirm, you can you see them via kubectl but not in the UI? By default the namespace filter in the top righ to the header will hide system namespaces like kube-system and cattle-cattle system. Can you check that changing the filter to
Only System Namespaces
reveals them?
w
That is correct, I can see everything via kubectl and not in the UI, but only the system namespaces are hidden.
The filters did it! I had
Only User Namespaces
selected. Didn't even notice there were filters. Thank you
s
Great! UI side we're working on improving the UX of that filter and making it more obvious what it does and where it applies
w
I was quite busy with some issues elsewhere so I hadn't got a chance to explore the UI, I believe I would have noticed the filters otherwise, I think it's kinda obvious what it does when it says
Only User Namespaces
and once you click on it you know, just gotta know it exists
It would make sense to have the System project say something like "Filtered out" instead of "There are no namespaces defined." when you have this predefined filter selected that directly affects namespaces.
That would make me be looking for filters in the UI
s
That would make sense. When using the text filter we differentiate between no results and no results given the filter. It would be nice to do something similar for project groups and their namespaces
