I considered running a customers cluster on docker swarm instead of kubernetes. k3s lowers the barrier enormously, but they still only have 6 devs and 1 old school admin and so I thought I'd spare them the steep learning curve. They could still progress from swarm to kubernetes once the time is right, aight? They're running two monolith LAMP-stacks, so nothing too fancy. Want to go CI and scalable.
But after hitting some docker slacks and discords I reconsidered. 🙈 Maybe it's not the worst thing that barrier to entry is a little higher to k8s. I think the conversations and looking for help is much more productive around k8s.
