yeah, the issue seems to be the one being discussed on https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/issues/1274 As you observed in your case too, there's a bit of inconsistency to it and unfortunately the Rancher Desktop team has not been able to consistently reproduce the issue. Can you please try one of the workarounds mentioned on the above thread to see it helps?

@rapid-eye-50641 I do not see an graceful workaround it the GIT link .. every says kill and restart Rancher Desktop .. and yes that fixes it .. but its annoying to do that ..

you are right, Enabling/Disabling Kubernetes should not matter if you don't use Kubernetes
