...seems like the namespaces where missing the label "name : <namespace name>". They instead have had the label "kubernetes.io/metadata.name: <namespace name>". (The namespaces were created manually - not via fleet). Don't know whether the rancher update also updated fleet and that changed its behavior?

we're struggling with this as well. It seems that fleet won't take ownership of the namespace... Been pulling my hair out for days
