Create a linux symlink on control planes/etcd nodes

/var/lib/rancher/<runtime>/server/db/snapshots

to whatever location you want. This way Rancer will be happy "thinking" it's backing up to default location and also you will be happy knowing that Rancher is backing up to the location you want.

This is actually a very interesting approach i will surely test this , thankyou so much
