Hi Danny, enabling the traefik should not impact network tunnel feature. Have you tried a factory reset?
q
I just tried a factory reset. The default options are Enable networking tunnel off and Traefik on. At this point Rancher Desktop starts up OK. But as soon as I tick "Enable networking tunnel" the UI gets stuck at the "Updating kubeconfig" state again as I described above
c
is it possible that port 80 or 443 is occupied by another process on that machine?
q
I ran a
netstat -aon
command and yes there was something running on port 80. IIS was enabled on the host machine and the default website in there was listening on port 80. I stopped that and Rancher Desktop now starts up OK with both the networking tunnel and Traefik enabled. Thanks for your help!
