@creamy-pencil-82913 I have gone through this https://github.com/rancher/rke2/issues/1844 where you talked about
disable-cloud-controller: true
But i am not sure how to enable this when installing cpi and csi using the application helm charts from rancher.
p
Hi @swift-sunset-4572, were you able to resolve this? Can you please let me know where in the cluster yaml you added this while provisioning the cluster from rancher?
s
Hey, yes i was able to install vsphere csi using some steps , so basically i didnt added that into the cluster at the time of the installation but made it a post cluster deployment activity . I have created a SOP around if that might help you in deploying it https://github.com/aditya-tanwar/rancher-automation/blob/main/Related-Documents/Vsphere_Storage.md
p
Thanks this would help me. Also a quick question.. while provisioning the rke2 cluster what did you select as your cloud provider? Was it
external
or
rancher-vsphere
?
s
Yes I used the default one rancher-vsphere
p
The default one is RKE2-Embedded.. was it the one you used?
