Longhorn recommends using at least three nodes in the cluster, with each volume having three replicas. Therefore, the default replica count will be three. But you can refer to https://longhorn.io/docs/1.4.1/references/settings/#default-replica-count and https://longhorn.io/docs/1.4.1/references/settings/#replica-node-level-soft-anti-affinity if you having a single node cluster.

Sorry for any confusion, I was not referring to volume replicas. I was referring to the number of CSI pods, but that is good info about the anti-affinity.
this is definitely not a production environment. Just a homelab so was wanting to know the tradeoff of adjusting the csi driver pods replica count to 1.
