The performance is currently limited by the iSCSI frontend and the tcp/IP connection. You could consider experimenting with the

strict-local

data locality setting, which should offer some improvements. Note Longhorn team is actively working on the V2 Data Engine (Preview Feature) which should improve on the performance significantly.
