what do the docker desktop logs show? What commands are you running?

I'm not sure if Intelij supports docker contexts; try running

docker context use rancher-desktop

. If that doesn't help, then maybe it looks for the docker socket in the default location at

/var/run/docker.sock

. You need to enable "Admin access" in the Rancher Desktop preferences, as a regular user you cannot create the socket there.
