K3os used to do something very similar, but it was a side project that is now unmaintained, and it just provided a K3s cluster, without Rancher itself deployed.. Rancher Elemental is the next closest thing, but it is mostly intended for downstream clusters, not for the Rancher server itself.

07/14/2023, 10:42 PMWe haven’t seen a lot of interest in OS images with Rancher pre-installed, tbh. Most folks running Rancher already have selected a standard operating system image that they want to use in their environment, and want to run Kubernetes and Rancher on top of that.
