Isn’t there a way to control that by scanning the image with whatever FIPS oriented tool?

Yeah.. I used tool to scan but the upstream image failed in validation since they are using openssl instead of boringssl

There you have it. You actually answered your own question. Make a request on the longhorn GitHub repo. Ask for it to be fips and potentiall create a pr for it. Thanks
