Hmm, I think we fixed some issues during the 1.9.0 time frame, but there could easily be more. The first log to look at would be

wsl-helper.log

I think, but it's possible that others might shed a clue too.

First of all thanks for response, and thanks for great work! 1.9 with extensions is awesome and it works well on my private PC. The problem on my other machine looks like this: I believe this is the lest log from

wsl-helper

Hmm, that first image looks fine (somebody was probing dockerd, so that's fine), and the error logs are just diagnostics. (They're failing to connect to the internet, but that shouldn't matter for doing things locally.)

I will update to 1.9 once again and wait for the crash than get back to you when I gather some more intel.
