Remove the quotas from the namespaces project?
i
yes that is correct.. We do not want rancher to add default resourcequota or limitrange. We see resourcequotas like "default-7tsf2" and limitrange like e81c42ce-1f66-4cd0-9ef8-4375a578f125 on all our namespaces. Even after deleting the same, it comes back
c
no I’m saying, you should remove the quotas from the project. If you delete them from the namespace, the project namespace controller will put them back.

@creamy-pencil-82913 how can I disable it globally ? we create new projects all the time. Instead of deleting after the project is created, I want to disable it so It doesnt get created at all
Is this possible ?
c
I don’t think quotas are enabled by default when you create a new project, are they?
I suspect the answer is, don’t set quotas when creating the project, if you don’t want quotas.
i
@creamy-pencil-82913 I neither set quota, nor set limitrange while creating the project. I have tried creating through both UI and API still both quota and limitrnages are generated for me
The document doesnt give information about how to disable or delete the the quota or limitrange. Btw I am using an imported cluster
@creamy-pencil-82913 any help here will be highly appreciated. I am unable to edit projects using rancher cli to have a script to remove limitrange and quota at project level. Kind of stuck here
