Rancher Desktop provides k8s and docker/containerd by running them in a VM. So, in order to get access to these directories in Rancher Desktop, you need to use the path they are mounted at. Also, on macOS and Linux only some directories from the host system are passed through to the VM. But I don't think that's your problem - you're running Windows right? Assuming you're on Windows, you should be able to access your
C:
drive at
/mnt/c
within the VM. You can get into the VM to poke around via
rdctl shell
