You could try starting a local registry and tagging the image as

localhost:5000/<db-image>:tag

then push there. You'd have to change the

image:

tag accordingly for the service. You'd also have to configure rancher-desktop to know about the mirror at localhost.

we're using rancher desktop with minikube

That's an odd combo - I wonder if that might be related to your issues (not likely, but worth considering)? Are you aware the Rancher Desktop provides a k8s dev environment as well as docker/containerd?
