Just FYI - there is channel for #rke2
a
oh, good call! I was in the middle of writing a big wall of text 😄
I've posted my RKE2 specific questions in that channel, and keep the rancher manager questions here: • My understanding is that Rancher uses Cluster API to launch RKE2 clusters. In that situation, what benefits do I get with Rancher instead of using that directly? In particular, the infrastructure provider isn't one of the big public clouds but an internal team who developed their own infrastructure provider. The docs only mention the usual providers for node provisioning, and make no mention of customizing the infrastructure provider • we're mainly focusing on a complete gitops workflow, with no manual administration on either the ops or dev parts. Does this make us a bad fit for rancher manager's target audience, or do we still get benefits from the central administration?
