that looks like the problem i reported the other day. https://github.com/harvester/harvester/issues/3840
b
if I ext4 format it without any partitions/labels it wil pick up the disks and it seems to work - after node reboot, a subfolder “extra_disks” are created under /var/lib/harvester/
b
yeah, i was able to create a gpt partition table to get the same effect. oddly it blew up if i put a msdos partition table on the disk though. 🤷‍♂️
@big-oxygen-89163 would you mind adding details of your harvester config to that issue i linked to? it looks like somebody is actively trying to reproduce the problem.

of course

thanks!

Hi @better-garage-30620, Sorry I missed messages here. As @big-oxygen-89163 tips. The pre-formatting with the disks would make harvester-node-disk-manager easy to recognize them. But I would like to figure out your issue. I try to reproduce with your tips. Try to make disks with
msdos
label but I could not reproduce your problem. Would you like to reproduce it and generate the SupportBundle to figure out this case? Very thanks!

@salmon-city-57654 i'll see if i can reproduce the problem. unfortunately (or maybe not? 😆) my cluster is now in use.
