Hi, I'm trying to get Harvester installed on a diskless baremetal host - the boot disk is a 300g block volume delivered over iSCSI - I tried a couple of different ways of doing this - a. If I try network boot the installer and then switch over the the command line and mount the iscsi volume - the installer sees it and attempts to install to it but hangs during the install process. b. If I pre-install Harvester in a VM where the block volume appears like a local disk and then attach this block volume over iSCSI to the BM host - the boot process fails trying to switch root. Any tips on how to get this to work would be appreciated, thanks.

I have wanted to explore that myself and envisioned using equinix' tinkerbell project to baremetal deploy harvester. Perhaps look up what they are doing and might be some info in the harvester repo itself: https://github.com/harvester/ipxe-examples/tree/main/equinix

@bright-fireman-42144 these examples helped me get harvester booting via ipxe - the problem seems to be when harvester runs into a iscsi type disk..

Currently Harvester requires local storage but there is a request for remote storage which you might want to follow https://github.com/harvester/harvester/issues/1365
