@glamorous-barista-99511 it’s hard to determine what is going on without looking at the logs, are you able to do a factory reset and try again? Or, can you try a newer version of RD e.g
1.8.1
?

@calm-sugar-3169 - I have done factory reset & tried. But, landing up with the same issue. I have uninstalled & restarted multiple times in attempt to start afresh installation. Unfortunately, it fails
BTW, only 1.4.1 is supported for our project so, I have no option to choose higher versions
Please help!

@glamorous-barista-99511 It needs to be WSL2, see here on how to check https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/issues/2519

PS C:\windows\system32> wsl -l -v
  NAME                    STATE           VERSION
* OracleLinux             Stopped         1
  rancher-desktop-data    Stopped         2
  rancher-desktop         Stopped         2
PS C:\windows\system32>

I suspect that's an OracleLinux issue then.... Do you see it in "WSL integrations" tab?

hmmm, I +1 @bored-farmer-36655 suggestion, the fact that your default distro
OracleLinux
is on WSL version 1 might be interfering with the install. Are you able to unregister
OracleLinux
temporarily to see if that solves your problem?
