Apologies for not catching this before 1.8.0 went out. The bug was introduced in a late change to the Linux deployment profile code (https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/pull/4206/files), that should not have been able to affect any functionality on Windows, so it was only tested on Linux (and macOS). Unfortunately this assumption turned out to be wrong.
