context: - air gapped installation - k3s version: v1.21.14+k3s1 - with gvisor - used to work with RD 1.8.1 - rdctl seems to communicate now via http. Therefore it is not possible anymore to change the settings after installation (without runnning RD).

Does allowed image list carry its functionality over to docker-compose?

I am using Rancher Desktop with containerd. When I build images, I get problems pulling images from some places. The problem is my company uses Zscaler. I need to add our root Zscaler cert to Rancher Desktop, but I can't seem to find where. For reference the build error I'm getting is this.

Hi, has anyone had issues setting up on Mac M1? I am able to run my containers on Docker-Desktop without any issues, but when I try to use Rancher-Desktop my container fails. My Mac OS version is 13.4. I've tried Rancher desktop version 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Hi all, I've just setup rancher-desktop and require and have setup the hostpath csi driver as I require this for volumesnapshots. My PVC is created fine but the pod won't connect to it. Is there anything else I have to do in rancher-desktop to get this working. I'm only used to getting this working in a cloud environment

Auto-update to 1.9 has been enabled in the upgrade server, so Rancher Desktop should offer to update to 1.9 (if you have enabled auto-update in the app). Note that the app only checks for updates at most once per hour, so it may take a little while to get the notification.

With RD 1.9.0 moby (docker) seems to ignore the mirrors defined in /etc/docker/daemon.json:

A short note for all who have a problem with the update to 1.9.0. After an apparently successful update from 1.8.1 to 1.9.0, I could no longer start Rancher Desktop. The application appeared briefly on the desktop and quit immediately. In the log file "C:\Users\AppData\Local\rancher-desktop\logs\background.log" i found a reference to an invalid JSON file. The cause was the file "config.json" in the directory "C:\Users\[NAME]\.docker" - the file was EMPTY. After deleting it, the new version started without further problems. The config.json I used in a wsl environment was not the problem!

After updating to 1.9.0, when using dockerd, Rancher Desktop starts perfect, but when using containerd, it will not start. I have tested with 2 different Windows 11 machines and getting the same error. Hi everyone! Has anyone else ever experienced rancher desktop stuck on initializing? It's been like that for the past 8 hours. Usually it would initialize in around 30 sec, but now it just doesn't. I've already done a factory reset and reinstall, so I'm not sure what else to try.

Hi Everyone! I'd really like to try the VZ feature on RD, but it keeps getting stuck at "Starting Backend" and eventually timing out. Is there anything specific that I should do before enabling this?
