I saw in the release notes for rancher-desktop 1.7

Kubernetes 1.26 is only supported with the containerd engine in this release. Use Kubernetes 1.25 or earlier if you need to use the docker socket with the moby engine.

Hey all. Seeing some weird x509 errors when trying to start rancher desktop on WSL. There is a transparent proxy via zscaler and have a feeling it’s playing a role in the issue. Any thoughts on what to try? Hi all, I am new to Rancher Desktop and run into a bug potentially. I installed the rancher-desktop-latest-x86_64.AppImage on a Rocky Linux 9.1. From the about page it shows version 1.7.0. While I can launch and do most of the functions in the app. I then launched the Dashboard from the system tray icon. The dashboard seems to be working except for the "Read from file" button. I tried to use "Read from File" to create a secret but it just doesn't do anything. Same for the "Import YAML". Clicking "Read from File" performs nothing. There's no error or response I can see. Has anyone seen this?

Rancher Desktop v 1.7.0 won't start. I have a WSL distribution that is buggered and throws errors when I start it. Rancher Desktop appears to be probing the existing WSL distributions. It looks like it gives up when it runs into this error. How can I configure Rancher Desktop to ignore the distribution that is throwing errors? The Rancher Desktop GUI never comes up, so I will need to update a configuration file.
