I have a 3 node cluster we just built on latest stable version. Everything looks great, however when trying to deply a virtual machine it says 0 nodes available, no preemption hosts available.

New one. If I build a cluster, add a virtual machine, then create a new user and add them to the cluster, that user cannot see the vm that was created?

I wasn't able to find a doc about changing the VIP. I have one Harvester node which

ifcfg-mgmt-br

interface obtains a static lease via DHCP. I moved the node to a new network, and need to reconfigure the ingress VIP.

I survived moving a node to a new network in the prior thread. Now things seem to be working, but Harvester remembers its old IP address for some reason. Is this as concerning as the red status pill and text implies?

Hello, I’ve installed Harvester 1.1.1 and configured a DHCP server which is used for the VM network. I have an issue in which VMs that are created on some Harvester nodes, are not able to access internet (for example ping to 8.8.8.8 timeout) but their internal IP which they received from the DHCP is working and I’m able to SSH the these Vms. • Other VMs (same template with same network and all other settings) on different Harvester nodes don’t have this issue • All Harvester nodes have the Same HW (DELL R640) and are installed with the same PXE and harvester auto-configuration Did someone came across this issue ?

Which cloud disk image do you prefer for your guest cluster nodes, and why? I've been using openSUSE Leap 15.4 because it supports cloud-init and because I naively assume I'll get the greatest compatibility and integration with RKE2. The only problem I had to solve with Leap involved tailoring the user-data to install iptables (required by the nginx ingress controller daemonset that comes with RKE2).

Hi All My nodes have 3 disks. 1) I have installed on one 2) I have mentioned the second for storing VM data These two are done during installation. 3) I added the other via rancher in the node page. Now my questions 1) 1st disk which is used for installation get used for any purpose other than serving the OS 2) VM data, is this where harvester longhorn and longhorn stores the data? 3) how I can use the 3rd disks which I attached 4) in Harvester network storage is the only option ? My original plan before trying harvester was to 1st disk only for OS 2nd disk for local storage 3rd disk for network storage

Getting

kvm no enabled

in host overview in the latest ( 1.1.2 ), while its actually enabled in Proxmox for Harvester VM ( /dev/kvm is present ), VMs are stuck on

Booting from HDD

, btw its EPYC CPU. Ideas?

also... as this is a minor release and even though rancher as part of harvester is 2.6.11 am I to assume that the compatibility is still rancher manager 2.6.9 for interoperability?

Hello. How's everybody? I love Rancher for 2 years now, I've been using it to manage kubernetes. And I like Harvester's idea for some particular solution using VMs. I have a question and I would like to know if someone can answer me: If I create a cluster with Harvester, it internally uses Kubernetes and KubeVirt for VM management. Can't that Kubernetes be used to also deploy containers like deployments, etc? To use containers, you would have to build VMs, and mount a kubernetes cluster on them. Is there something that prevents using the same kubernetes for both containers and VMs?

this might be more of a lower level issue, such as my BIOS or my understanding of grub. I was having video issues with the 1.1.2 usb installation and got past that with nomodeset but it seems to reboot my machine while executing some part of the installer (before any graphical steps). Any one run into something similar?

Is nested virtualization working in Harvester ? Trying it on Proxmox with enabled KVM, but getting

KVM has been disabled by BIOS. KVM must be enabled before creating any Virtual Machines.

in Harvester host.
